While in El Golfo de Santa Clara, I arranged to do a presentation at the local high school to show video and photos to students of vaquita that I filmed only a few days earlier.
I felt this was one of the most rewarding and important experiences of the entire expedition. Unbelievably, it was the first time anyone had taken the time to visit them and their school to talk about the vaquita.
