The memorial service included spirited singing, the Calvin Alumni Choir, meditations by Dale Cooper and John Primus, and remarks by friends George Harper, John Vanden Berg, Larry and Mary Jo Louters and Abram Van Engen. The service also included Dr. Spoelhof's favorite hymn, "Faith Cannot Do Too Much Expecting," and participation from both President Emeritus Dr. Anthony Diekema and current President Dr. Gaylen Byker.
