"THE ART OF LITHOGRAPHY" is a short version of the documentary "THE ART OF TIME" that you can find as well on my vimeo page (or just follow this link: vimeo.com/32132618).
This edit differs from the original one in terms of being a little bit less on the emotional side but more on the technical side.
The version you are watching now will be shown in Washington DC, at the National Museum of Women in the Arts, in conjunction with the exhibition, Pressing Ideas: Fifty Years of Womens' lithographs from Tamarind" now through October 2.
Tamarind Lithography Workshop, Inc. (TLW) was founded in Los Angeles in 1960 as a means to "rescue" the dying art of lithography. Fully funded by the Ford Foundation until it became affiliated with the University of New Mexico in 1970, founding director June Wayne (right), together with Associate Director Clinton Adams and Technical Director Garo Antreasian.
The whole documentary "The Art of Time" will be released by the end of august this year.
