Here's a short TV news package I co-produced in 2007 as part of my qualification in Broadcast Journalism at City University in London.

It tells how the British government is cracking down on the sale of laughing gas - the cheap gas being used by party goers to give themselves a unique high.

It was shot following the standard formulas of TV news in the UK, and was later pitched to a national broadcaster. We shot it on a Canon XM2, and edited in FCP.

There was a version with me presenting, but it's disappeared into the ether!

    Looks very Professional!

    Adam,

I am interested in purchasing the camcorder Canon XM2 for a community projects.

I've to say, I am very impressed by the audio in this video. Can you please tell me the particular audio equipment you used in the video. And the XLR Adapter.

    Many thanks.

Hi Mohamed. This film is about 2 years old now, so I don't remember precisely what we used. I know for our interviews we used a lavelier radio microphone which connected through an XLR into the XM2. Our voice overs were recorded in the studio and added afterwards. Sorry I can't give you much more detail!
