This film was a joy to work on, although it took many hours of labor. It is dedicated to Karen Straus' family. Karen was one of handful of Americans who grew up in Nairobi, Kenya. She was blessed to have had many experiences in the bush, especially on the Masai Mara. Some of the footage was shot in the 60's by her father, Hal Cope. The rest of it is my standard def and HD footage, some of it made to look old to fit in the historic sections of the video. Karen did the writing and narration and contributed editing suggestions. I did all the technical post production. I'm proud of how this project turned out and intend to expand the film to a full-length documentary on the wildlife of Kenya.
