Early last summer there was a multi-cultural day at the after-school-daycare where Julian goes three times each week. There were a lot of different games and interesting and tasty foods, covering most of the nationalities represented by the children at the daycare. Everyone had a great time, and even the Dutch weather was being a great sport.
I shot this using my very brand new HV30, stabilized using a tripod. Not perfect, but much better than just hand held. I took one performance of the drum players, which is playing unedited in the background, and then created a whole bunch of short sequences with all the individual scenes. I think it works rather well, even where at times balls change color and throw hands change from left to right from one cut to the next. It seems continuity of motion is more important than color. So much for nitpicking movies.
Filmed at Kind & co BSO de Dolfijn in Nieuwegein. HV30 at full auto. FCP.
