Avignon is a beautiful medieval city, and even more beautiful from above. The big medieval palace you see on the thumbnail is the "Palais des Papes", the ancient residence of the Popes. You will also see the "broken" Pont d'Avignon (at 0:49), every french kid knows about it since its name was given to a traditional kid song. The city stands by the river Rhône, one of the major rivers in Europe.
