1. New Sony NEX C3 Manual focusing with "peaking" mode.

Unfortunately, "Moire effect" in the picture a little disturbing, but I think you can see what is the Peaking function.
It's really great if you use manual lenses

And it seems to work well with a fairly narrow depth of field as well. Not bad for an F2 lens.

    Do you like it?

    Hey Jacco W
Besides original lenses, I also have some lenses made in Russia:
    Industar 2.8/50 mm
    Jupiter 2 / 50 mm
    1.5/50 mm Jupiter
    Jupiter 2 / 85 mm
    Jupiter 4 / 135 mm

"Peaking" mode with each of these lenses works well, especially with 4/135mm. Why?
Because when you use the MF Assist function, the image is magnified 7.5xi viewing angle is very narrow picture of a trembling, shaking. Manual focusing is difficult, If you use long telephoto lenses "Peaking" mode is best:)
Good news is, after June 20, "Peaking" is available with a new firmware for NEX 3 and 5

    best regards
    Rafiki

Is it possible to lock exposure, or use manual exposure when filming?
  • Rafiki 7 months ago
Unfortunately there is no possibility of manual exposure changes during the filming.
You may only use the exposure compensation (2/- 2EV by 1/3 steps)

It is interesting is that Sony is looking not only for new users, but also thinking about the current NEX holders.
    :)

    Update :)
Together with the NEX C3, Sony revealed a new Macro lens E3.5/30mm.
Since yesterday I have the pleasure of testing this lens.
On my blog you will find links to the first picture samples:

    Pozdrawiam serdecznie
