Flash:Light was a free public arts festival that took place on Saturday May 7, 2011 in New York City.The event represented a new platform for artists working in light, sound, performance and projection art to transform an iconic New York City neighborhood into a spectacular nighttime environment of temporary, site-specific public art.
As technical sponsor, Float4 Interactive contributed with its Blackstone technology which was used on three installations, including the very first projection mapping on the New Museum, a projection mapping of the St. Patrick's Old Cathedral and a 3D projection of Marco Brambilla's Civilization.
