Congressman Connie Mack (R-FL) again appeared as a guest of Judge Anthony Napolitano on FOX Business' "Freedom Watch." Mack, a frequent contributor, had been invited to discuss his One Percent Spending Reduction Act of 2011 and the ongoing battle over the federal debt ceiling. However, the revelation by Congressman Anthony Weiner of New York that the lewd texts were in fact sent by Weiner, and were not the result of his account being hacked, caused Judge Napolitano to ask Congressman Mack about Weiner's future in Congress, and whether the New York Congressman has any future in Congress in light of his possible ethics violations. Congressman Mack and Napolitano then delved further into the Congressman's budget plan, which would balance the budget by 2019 by using an across the board spending cut of one percent. Congressman Mack also revealed that 103 members of Congress support his plan, and have written letters to that effect. Congressman Mack also praised House Speaker John Boehner and House Majority Leader Eric Cantor for taking the time to listen to a diverse group of opinions on the budget crisis without browbeating subordinates.
