The Multidimensional Poverty Assessment Tool (MPAT) is a new measurement tool for assessing a range of factors that contribute to rural poverty. Developed by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), a specialized agency of the United Nations, the MPAT will provide organizations, governments and communities the information they need to measure their progress in eradicating rural poverty in their own context and around the world. Nuru International is proud to be the first organization to implement the MPAT in Africa.
