I like all the glass in the living area and shooting against it to get slhouettey shapes. Good work Karen!

loooooved that last bit with the vacuum!!! you kick so much ass shooting these little movies, karen!!
  • You know what Sara, that comment means a lot to me. Only because I know people only really enjoy the more haphazard abstract stuff I shoot...but the reality of it is that shooting stuff like this, even though not my style or things I write, or even things I kind of hate, actually take a whole lot more work and prep than stuff I'm used to. It's good to push yourself and try different things even though you may not like it or if it may be challenging. I really really appreciate it really, especially with something that's as painfully long as this. haha

    <3 you are sunshine.

This is really nice, I like it. Especially the last part with just him and the vacuumcleaner in the livingroom :) haha.

The shoots are very nice to. A very lovely video I must say Karen.
  • Aww thanks a lot Sune, that's extremely thoughtful of you, thank you for your time. :-)

Oh I get it these are all your classes finals! Was it your choice to make yours non-dialogue? ... Because I love that you did! We are bombarded with so much dialogue sometimes.

Are those two different girls or the same?
  • Well these are Directing finals. Mine was a Digital Cinematography final...so our assignments were slightly different. Theirs had to be longer and have dialog for directing purposes...mine was focused on the aesthetics of the short....Secret....the only reason why a lot of my films don't have dialog is because I don't have a crew, so when I shoot them, I do it entirely on my own. Operating a camera and a dolly at the same time would be cumbersome while trying to hold a boom mic. Therefore, I write a lot of my stories to cater to the aesthetic and to not have dialog. It is easy and difficult in different ways. Difficult because you have to say a lot without words, easy because there's less to worry about when editing the dialog...which is a TOTAL BITCH...especially when the actors say their lines at different moments in the cuts and make it difficult to cut with.

HAHAHAHA someone else asked me that (about the girls)...nope just the same hair. LOL..my friend watched it and said, "I don't get it...so he was sneaking around with his own wife?"

hahahah Director's choice, not mine. haha.

It's nice to see your work incorporated with a group project. Love your stuff as always! =D
  • Thanks Paul. I've learned to break down these walls of embarrassment and just put up whatever, who cares..haha.
