    Nice crazy work !
Did you use 3DS max for the 3D ?
Nice works on your website too...

That's seriously impressive. What sort of internal support does it have? Did you use heavy paper?
  • Taras Lesko plus 11 months ago
Thanks Ben. It has an internal skeleton, which you don't see, but it gives it some additional support.

Very nice job. Looks like you put a lot of effort into it. 4 feet is very large!

can you make me one of those?
  • Taras Lesko plus 10 months ago
I'd love to! Pay me well so I don't become a starving paper craftsman and I'll make you the biggest Gundam figure ever.

at what size is the smallest you can make..?
im really impressed on how it was done...
looks like a real action figure
  • Taras Lesko plus 6 months ago
I only made the one 4 foot version. Going any smaller would be too difficult as the parts would be too small to handle. Going smaller would mean having to simplify the 3d model first.

    Thanks.

    ah, i see..
so its possible yet more tiring eh.? (well, just looking at the head part seems rough xD)
    thank you very much..
im so much inspired now on making a miniature for my own, dont worry its only for personal display and i dont think i could match up to you. lols. ^^,

well then.. good luck on your career :)
and hope your other projects turn good as well
    have a nice day

Think you could work out a way to make one as a cosplay suit? If so i would love to get one and go to Otakon 10 as RX-78-2 Gundam.
  • Taras Lesko plus 2 months ago
Probably could, but probably won't because cosplaying just doesn't seem like my thing.

If you watch some of my other videos you'll notice that I have one now. I didn't back when I built this model.

Did you scan the original model, or did you build it in Max by hand?
  • Taras Lesko plus 23 days ago
I modeled it by hand in Max, using the little die-cast model as a visual reference.
