Sample roll of Kodak's new Vision 3 500T Super 8 film. The first half contains night shots of a short film in production. The second half are assorted indoor and outdoor shots.

Camera's used were the Canon 310XL for night scenes, and Canon 814 AZ and the 1014 AZ for outdoor/indoor scenes.

Lab work by Spectra. DIY Telecined.

    This looks really good at night. I might be a convert from reversal.
    Could you share some tips for a DIY negative transfer if its not top secret ;-)

    Hey thanks. Not a secret at all. I use a transfer unit I bought on Ebay that is similar to moviestuff.tv's Cinemate version (except a lot crappier). I aim a 3CCD cam at the condensor lens, then output it to a capture card, run it through Virtualdub where I use the invert and color balancing filters to get the desired look.

    Thanks. Its reassuring to know it can be corrected with software as I was under the impression that light filters were needed to remove the orange cast.

    I hope to one day get a workprinter :)

    Did you use the in-camera meters for all these shots - particularly the night time shots? Did you have to make any exposure compensations?
