Politicians aim to shape the world in which we live according to certain deeply felt ideals. To do this well, politicians need to be knowledgeable on expected future developments. That is why European countries installed parliamentary technology assessment (TA). It is the task of technology assessors to support parliamentarians in acknowledging the impact science and technology will have on future societies.
