Dayna Whitmer lost her son Matthew to the bridge nearly four years ago. His body was never recovered.
Ken Holmes worked in the Marin County coroners office for 36 years, and was tasked with the daunting and emotional duty to determine the cause of death and the identity of the hundreds of people who have ended their life from the Golden Gate Bridge.
"It's like a lie of omission, by not doing anything they are intentionally killing these people," Whitmer said -
The members of the Bridge Rail Foundation have been instrumental in the fight to install a suicide deterrent at the bridge, but face political opposition and a lack of funding.
