    Hey Brandon,

Kind of random, but I thought it was funny to run across another Bloch who is into film making and the like. My brother Jeff is an award winning television news producer/director in Sacramento CA, and I make training videos for my fire department in the Bay Area, and dabble in climbing videos and documentaries. I guess it's in the genes.

    Take care,

    Chris Bloch

Thanks for your comments... It's really great to know I can show my work this way. And it's especially cool that the video was embedded in a German site and watched by people halfway around the world!

Yeah, Yacht is awesome! Here's his Vimeo profile: vimeo.com/yacht -- His albums are definitely worth getting.

Hope he doesn't mind I was so inspired by his song ;-)

I usually don't comment things, but I think it's important to do so because this is such an exceptionally made video.

Well done, and keep up the good work. You have talent.

This is absolutely awesome! You didn't skimp out on any details and it shows.

    Don't stop!

Thanks for noticing. This was actually originally gonna be a 7-minute more traditional doc profile... But all that footage got cut down to this 2-minute piece, which is why there's a lot to look at.

Thanks all for the comments. This makes me want to get right back out there and do another video in the series. I love the Vimeo support.

I can see this becoming an interesting interactive piece, since you've got the randomness of the outside world that can be incorporated. Nice going!

I liked the way u intervent in the city, and the video is pretty well done, niiiiice!

Wow! I've noticed a lot of international interest in this video. Turns out it's been watched in Germany, Switzerland, Russia, Latvia, France, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Mexico, and Greece (to name a few).

Now that's the power of Vimeo! Maybe I can have a couch to crash on if I visit any of those places :-)

(I guess it's also good when the video has no English dialogue...and when the whole world appreciates good art from D. Billy)

... plus I was thinking more along the lines of Greece or Italy, you know? ;-P

Rickflick the Douchebag writes: "What fun to be a Brookyn artist. "

You are a disgrace to Brooklyn, punk. Tell me where you live so I can steal your lunch money. If I catch you putting that sh*t you call art on my building, I'll kick your ass back to whatever suburb spawned you.

He's interested in foreign comments, so he can freeload on their couch. Parasite!

Brooklyn used to be a nice place to live till you talentless slobs began infesting it about ten years ago.

Finally, wipe that sh*t-eating grin off your smarmy little face.
  • Blake Nyquist 3 years ago
Shut your mouth, he wasn't hurting anything... And by saying what you did you are the one ruining Brooklyn by "stealing peoples lunch money and beating people up"...

brandon keep up the great art man ! Hey have you seen the street paint stop motion on youtube ? just punch in Muto by blu blu, rock on! chromesean
  • Brandon Bloch pro 3 years ago
Heck yeah I've seen Muto by Blu... It definitely inspired the last two stop-motion sequences in this video. Blu's video really opened my eyes to using stop-motion in a real-world setting. So I had to try it for myself.

    Thanks for watching.

I agree with walter or whatever, you're just another loser trust fund hipster with apple products with nothing better to do. go back to connecticut/ohio/kansas. i love how you write "vimeo gots my back" as if you talk like that. go away with your fedora and your unoriginal trying too hard crap. you lil hipster bitches.
  • Brandon Bloch pro 3 years ago
Golly! It's amazing/hilarious to see how riled up people get over a guy putting painted cardboard and pieces of colored tape on the side of an abandoned factory. With so many problems in the world, is this really what people get angry about these days?

And I love the language people use when they're able to hide behind the anonymity of their internet connection.
  • Parker Kuncl 3 years ago
I know first hand he does talk like this cause he's got style and flavor enough to do sweet videos like this. Don't hate just cause iMovie isn't easy enough man.
  • Brandon Bloch pro 3 years ago
Aww snap! Now you made Parker mad!

LOL... aww, I'm just laughing at how sad the haters are because they actually take the time to write stupid comments that they think will rile people up, but it just makes them look pathetic.

Anyway - great video. Art, after all, is subjective, and in my opinion, it's a really fun piece that leaves a smile on my face. Great editing and song choice. :)

I love to see hand-made work like this, even when mine is almost 100% digital. I believe there is a tendence of coming back to simple ideas done in a simple way. I like it. Remembers me to the work of director Michel Gondry.
    Good Work!
  •
  • Great piece. I'm glad I stumbled upon it. Thank you for sharing.
