Do we need a new legal structure for enterprises tapping into social finance?
The US and the UK are both experimenting with new legal structures (Low Income, Limited Liability Companies "L3Cs" and Community Interest Companies "CICs") to encourage investment in "hybrid organizations" - those that blend social/environmental purpose and financial return. Learn about these international examples and the exploration of how these ideas are being adapted in a Canadian context.
