I still can't believe it, but she said YES!!!!!
A huge thank you to everyone who helped out with the making of this thing. You all gave Oscar-worthy performances!
(For those who don't know the background, Rochelle and I went to a concert on Halloween and dressed up in character -- Ro as a giraffe, and me as Beaker from the Muppets. Hilarity ensued. It was so much fun being Beaker, we decided I should wear it again on New Years Eve at Madison Square Garden for the Phish concert. Once again, hilarity ensued. Caught up in the moment, I decided to toss Beaker onto the stage. And, until now, that was the last we had seen of him. Rochelle left for Florence as part of a school trip for 4 weeks. On June 16 (our 2-year anniversary), she was led to a hotel by a classmate to "see an art show"' upon arriving at the hotel, she was given an iPad with this video queued up. At the end, Beaker/me finally showed ourselves and popped h big question.)
On a more serious note, Rochelle and I both feel blessed and are so grateful to have all of you in our lives. They say that life is all about who you surround yourself with, and if that's the case then Ro and I are doing pretty darn good.
My mother told me long ago that marriage is not two people just standing and looking at each other, but rather it is two people standing side-by-side, facing the world together. I am so darn lucky to have Rochelle by my side for all the days to come, and I can't wait to see where this adventure takes us next....
