MATSim allows not only to simulate modeled transport demand but also demand based on smart card data records shared by Land Transport Authority (LTA).

This video shows a sample of the alighting patterns of 50'000 randomly selected records during the morning peak. This data will be used later used to estimate a public transport route choice model for which MATSim will be used to generate the relevant choice sets.

This video is purely a product of research and has no immediate relevance to policy and planning.

Artem Chakirov took care of the EZ Link data mining and simulation set up based on the public transport network modeling by Sergio Ordóñez.

We acknowledge LTA for providing the underlying data and Senozon (senozon.com) for the visualising software.
