Lip Dub Pop Muzik
A lip dub by me to M's Pop Muzik. I took a bit of time with this one. Hope you enjoy!

This could be the offcial video for that song.
Where did you find those masks? They're brilliant!
I bought them thinking that I'd either send them to my little niece or use them in a lip-synching video. Poor niece! I tell myself that she's too young for them anyway. Maybe one day when she's older I'll part with them. :-)
Thanks for your nice comment!
Don't expect too much too soon. I'm not sure I'll have time to get so ambitious for awhile. I've got a couple of other lip dubs ready, but they are much simpler affairs.
As for the moving shots, well, that's ok. I was trying for a kind of 'pac-man' or 'pong' vibe... sort of primitive video style. Feeble but fun. Anyway, thanks for your honesty. :-)
No, I was signaling to the camera... a kind of lo-fi clapboard I use to signal the next take. I think some of those signals were for take "2.1" or some other strange fraction of a take. I liked them so I left them in. :-)
i love the face hat mask. It such a brilliant thing!
I don't know this game. Is it old or new?

ps: your lip dub still rules.
But thank you, Bo, all the same. Praise is always welcome! :-D
Thanks for such a nice comment.
it's awesome.
My only criticism is that you can see the a sliver of the bg layer when you move squares around. The moves weren't quite exact. Maybe you should have composited the black grid layer over the squares.
Just my two cents!!!!
I'm new at this and appreciate the advice. I agree that the movement is blurred, which is a problem (you're not the first to mention it). I have a feeling that if I'd converted to HD I wouldn't be having this issue... it looks fine on my computer and others I've used, even in a compressed format and even on Youtube! (at least in HQ). Something obviously went wrong when I uploaded to Vimeo.
It's funny, your advice presupposes that I know a lot more than I do! I'm not sure what you mean by the black grid layer, etc (sorry!).
As for the "moves" not being exact, did you mean that they don't fit the music? Or...?
Thanks again for your suggestions! I have a lot to learn, but I'm enjoying the process.
By exact, I mean that you can see a little but of the BG image it's passing over on the top and bottom.
I didn't think the compression was bas actually.
Looks pretty good.
Om regards to HD, it's just a size, (1080x1920, 720x1280, 720x480). When it comes to good compression, it's just a tricky combination of frame size, bit rate, key frames, etc..

Glad it made you smile. :-)
Of course, it's the magic of masks! I suppose they enhance the look of the exposed bits.
I kept the sound down very low out of respect for my poor neighbors. They must think I'm bonkers.
Pop pop pop muzik! (ah, that's better!)
Actually, yours sounds nothing like mine. I didn't beat you to anything... the punch is yours for the taking!
I'll look forward to seeing your vid. Sounds interesting.
I guess I'm not the only person out there who enjoys complete, silly frivolity. That's nice to know. :)
Loved the video too, so funny and creative. Especially the non-singing faces were great, they look so bored at times. :D
I love the roughness that is left in (such as the ending, with the looking to the side and the fingers).
I say hello to you.
Good songs.
