
Softimage XSI automation tool for depthRGB V2 pass with interactive controller

This tools allow you to generate a depthRGB Pass.
Two null (as depth controller) and a custom property are created inside the camera.
The color of the depth can be modified directly in the shader build by the script.
You can create the depth on an override or on a partition.

I think that it would be nice if there is possibility just to override surface shader with "depth compound" in surface slot of materials, not to add whole new depth material to partiton. Reason for that is displacement. With this method you are killing all displacements. I know that there are some other problems with surface shader override, like SSS material in mental ray that can't be overriden with surface shader, but, as your addon works with some other third party renderers, it would be nice to have option just for surface override.
Anyway, realy usfull addon. Thanks.
Good idea doca, i've updated the tools with the possibility to override the surface shader ;)
