This film was made for the Nokia Shorts 2011 competition. It tells the story of a boy who meets and befriends a large cardboard box, and was shot on a Nokia N8.

I hope you find it as much fun to watch as it was to make.

Wonderful Tem. Such a lovely story. Music, shots, acting so great! A nice flow too. Loved all the references :)

The very very end shot worked so well. Is the red book in this one the same as the one for The Diary of a Disappointed Book?

Wonderful film and a gigantic injustice, as this should have won. The music, the effects, the references, the acting... But then the ending ... pure poetry.

Stunning short film. I ended up completely engrossed in it and was genuinely upset at the end! I really wasn't expecting to be so emotionally attached when I first clicked play! Well done and thanks for inspiring me to include my own kids in my future film making.

This is amazing! Such a great example of how lateral thinking can lead to endless possibility / what Calvin would be doing if he didn't have Hobbes.

    Just posted it on showusyourclips.com

A fine and inventive short film with a charming cast of young characters.

I liked the subtle audio inserts. The fast edit sustained the storyline which could have easily lapsed into sentimentality.

That this Movie was filmed with a NOKIA 8 confounded my expectations! I was wondering why on a film of this merit that the Director had not made more use of differing focal lengths.....and the answer, of course, is that he was playing to the strengths and limitations of the 'camera'.

This is just beautiful - the music you have written is perfection - everything about this film re-confirms that storytelling, choice/feel of music come first, equipment second - cant tell you how much I enjoyed this - thank you thank you!!!!!

Great, es un vídeo magnífico, está claro que saber contar historias no tiene nada que ver con tener la mejor camara del momento. Esta historia es genial y esta contada con un teléfono móvil. Viva la democratización de la tecnología!!!!
