After losing his cushy Wall Street position, a young American, Marvin, takes off to Paris to make the most of his time off and budding romance with Julien. Upon his arrival into the City of Lights, Marvin learns that Julien has been called away indefinitely for work in Africa. Now Marvin finds himself left behind with Julien's flatmate Khalid, an attractive, busy and hardworking student from Algeria.
