Watoto is strongly committed to placing children in a safe family environment rather than in large institutional orphanages. They become part of a family unit in the Watoto community living in individual homes. Each child remains part of their new family for life.

Through the Watoto Sponsorship programme, individuals and groups come alongside Watoto to rescue vulnerable children and women from poverty and destitution, restoring them to a life filled with hope and a future. A sponsored individual has multiple sponsors in order to provide the holistic care that is required to equip them for success in life.

11,000 in 2011 was initiated to help raise continuous, monthly support for the settlement and upkeep of the families in the homes. We need your help to mobilise the 11,000 sponsors that we need globally in 2011.
