LOCAL ARTS GROUP PLANS NEW YEAR'S EVE FUNDRAISER

FAYETTEVILLE, ARK--Art Amiss, a Fayetteville arts group dedicated to supporting and encouraging emerging Arkansas artists, presents the second annual Blue Masquerade on December 31, 2008 at the Urban Table in the Old Post Office at the center of Fayetteville's historic downtown square and beautiful Lights of the Ozarks display.

"We had nothing but positive responses from last year's event, so we've tried to simply amp up the fun rather than tinker with a proven formula," said Art Amiss Vice President Bo Counts.

For festive guests, local DJs Shortfuze, EQ, Beat Bachs, and Bizar will perform on both levels of the building, accompanied by a video installation and models sporting themed fashions by local designers. Upstairs patrons will have the opportunity to bid in a silent auction with works by local artists produced exclusively for the event. All proceeds go to support local artists and future Art Amiss events.

Doors open 9 pm. Admission $15.00 for ages 18-up. Hors d'oeuvres included. Champagne provided at midnight to all guests ages 21-up.
