Note: I do not own any rights to distribute this scene, I am uploading it as part of an academic exercise.
The first part of my dissertation which looks at the audiovisual montage theories of the film maker Sergei Eisenstein. A lot of writing, charts and tables went into explaining the audiovisual relationships in the project which I'm not going to upload, just enjoy the music, but see if you can notice the moments of 'vertical reinforcement'. This is when the music replicates how your eye is drawn across the screen. This might be due to a long obvious visual curve, or a main character walking in a certain direction. This is just one technique used, so isn't always present, but it's quite an easy one to notice and at times very effective I think!
