June 2011 marks the 5-year anniversary of the establishment of the Port of San Diego's environmental fund. Since the fund was established in 2006, the Board of Port Commissioners has approved 62 projects, 42 of which have been completed, and committed $7.3 million to projects aimed at improving the condition of San Diego Bay and surrounding port tidelands.
