Laura + Josh // The All Brevis Wedding // Mexico
11 months ago
This is, what we believe to be, the first wedding shot entirely on 35mm adapters. We chose the brevis and had a crew of 3 shooting the day, with a fourth shooting behind the scenes.
We had a wide assortment of gear with some of the highlights being the new Cinevate follow focus, the new Cinevate cage (for handheld work), a prototype of the soon to be released slider, and many lenses. We used a full EOS setup with the 24 1.4, 50 1.4, and 70-200 being the most common as well as some Zeiss primes including a 28 f2, 50 1.4, and 100 f2 macro.
On the steadicam we used both the 50 and 28 from Zeiss. The ceremony was shot with the steadicam and two 70-200s.
The reception was light using a pair of pro lights (easy to pack) and some diffusion.
All other lighting was just using what was available and aside from the 3-5 shots during the photo-session, everything else was shot live as it happened.

Love the DOF!
Beautiful, just beautiful.
Amish - excited for workshop in Jan :)
Stacy - Thanks so much for the very kind words.
Rachel - I think your comment is certainly going to have to go into our testimonial book we have on our studio. Thanks for that :)
Alex - One of our sponsors, Cinevate, set us up for the gear and that included EX1s. Back at home we shoot with a ton of A1s though, so much of our other work is shot that way.
Matt - For somebody like you to say something like that, we certainly must be on the right track.
Thanks again for all the support.

I own a wedding production company in sunny Sydney, Australia and we just got our hands on the Letus Extreme. Seeing this is what Matt E said "just gone from inspirational to 'I may as well sell my gear'".
I check your site religuosly every week waiting to see new stuff. Your crew and yourself Patrick are extremely talented and have an eye for detail.
We have only shot one model bride fully in 35mm (nolimitpictures.com.au/blog/?p=355) and I can tell you it was hectic. Doing what you guys did with 4 of those rigs, is OUT OF CONTROL. Hats off to you guys.
Unbelievable, just unbelievable. I dunno what else to say. Pure genius. I think you guys have stepped up to your next notch.
Can't wait to see the TTD.
calidad suprema,movimientos y encuadres perfecto
very very niceeee!!!
You guys have raised the bar so high for wedding cinematography I think someone would need a rocket ship to get over it.
Wow - great work.
Athoob: I often say the same thing whenever I watch their stuff. God knows what the couple and their friends/family must be thinking.

Mind sharing with us the song tittle please??
P.
Mind you it was my first real wedding video... your video is way better! You all are truly an inspiration.
I definitely need a 70-200 lens if I want to do more weddings though. Thanks for sharing so much with the videography community. We appreciate it a lot!
You guys do it all with style and class! Love you're camera angles and editing abilities. As always you're taking wedding coverage to another level.
Also, worth noting was the way the 5dM2 held up under low light.
Keep pushing your creative limits~lorenz
I realize that other than the cinematography, one element that makes your video stunning is the choice of music.
How do you go about getting the rights to use these music for your video? Do you approach music company to pay them a fee for using the songs?
For this piece itself, I got in touch with Amy and mentioned what we were doing, told her about Josh and Laura and asked if I could send her the clip. She was so moved by the piece that she was more than happy to let us use her song in it.

very touching, it almost made me cry (not kidding)
very well done :)
Legit.
Your work appreciate and in Russia.

A wedding video that is perfect!
That´s gorgeous!
What kind of steadicam? Full vest setup? That plus the brevis really made this!
Gorgeous lighting, camera work, composition, stagging, simply exquisite! I must say I'm a little disheartened that there is no download for it. I would LOVE to keep this video, if anything for the way it was done. Other than the fact that it looked like a gorgeous wedding, the two getting married looked so happy. I loved the way you captured their passion.
Also, LOVE the shot of the Bride walking down the hallway, love that shot!!!!
Just a few questions. What kind of steadicam did you use? Did you use a dolly? Which Brevis did you use, the MP1 or MP2?
Thanks so much, please put this up for download, it's just a gorgeous piece of work!!!!
Cheers,
Dennis Wood
