Norway is one of Europe's windiest regions and Europe's longest coastline, yet the Norwegian coast in little advantage with respect to wind energy. Politicians are talking about us to be the world leader in offshore wind power, and the oil industry has provided us with invaluable expertise in offshore operations. Everything is possible for Norway to become a leader for offshore wind energy. But wind turbines are meeting strong resistance, and most people perceive the technology as ugly and impractical.

Turbine City combine wind turbines with tourism - an offshore wind farm with an integrated hotel, spa and museum. By bringing tourists to the turbine city people will be able to see the benefits and the spectacle of wind turbines up close. This will increase awareness and hopefully support around the wind.
