Randy faced enormous obstacles from birth. For a long time he could not speak, walk, read, or write. Many people did not believe he could learn at all. However, his mother believed in him and a few perceptive educators along the way provided Assistive Technology and Augmentative Communication to help Randy connect to the world.

During a recent conference hosted by Teachers College Inclusive Classrooms Project, ARISE, and the New York City Department of Education, Randy told his remarkable story.
