After wreaking havoc in our bathroom and destroying our basement, the squirrel was captured in a trap. Feeling too guilty to let it freeze outside in the morning until the Critter Control people are supposed to come and set it free several miles from our house, I welcomed it to Chateau Mermanda for one final night of hospitality.
