Tax Incentives Help Conservation Make Economic Sense: Twin Pines Tree Farm
8 months ago
The Southeast Land Trust accepts donated conservation easements from landowners as we work to conserve important forestland, including Tree Farms. In 2006, landowners Jerry and Pat Langdon donated a conservation easement to the Southeast Land Trust on a portion of their family tree farm on busy route 125 in Epping. Why did a realtor agree to permanently conserving valuable land? What role did federal tax incentives for donated easements play? These questions and more are answered through the voice of Jerry Langdon, landowner, business person, and past Selectmen.
