John Day Drift Trip 2017

These photos document a 4 day, 70 mile float trip down the John Day River from Clarno to Cottonwood. We ran the river in memory and in honor of David Corey. This May it was so warm, we went swimming in the river near Hoot Owl Camp. Trip participants hiked, fished, relaxed, played cribbage, gathered rocks, played horse shoes, read, hung in hammocks and enjoyed the sound of the river flowing by.
