Yet another EE-S vs EE-A focusing screen test.
EE-S is considerably darker but has deeper bokeh. Color correction (Mike Crash auto-levels for Vegas) helps to equalize the difference in light levels between the two screens quite well. However, it is of no help when the scene is shot under realy poor lighting conditions - with EE-S the grain becomes pretty obvious - EE-A is the f.s. of choice here for it tolerates much more light loss.
Unsharp mask helps to separate the in-focus part from the blurred background even more.
