Merging techniques from both my volumetric fractal noise cloud and the Trapcode Particular version I've created this version that is, I suppose, a hybrid of the two. It uses a fractal noise custom texture comp as a source for Particular to create a more "textured" looking cloud.

Using textured sprites instead of the built-in cloudlet particles does create some issues. I had to switch the internal blending mode of the particles to "screen" as they were flickering and popping noticeably using "normal" blend mode. There's still some minor issues with that in this version, but it's no-where near as bad.
