This project was done in collaboration with poet/professor of University of Iowa, Thom Swiss. Swiss's poetry was delivered to me in MP3 format, I sliced it up into small pieces and made a composition out of it. Later the line art animation was created to accompany the soundtrack.

    Are the symmetric lineforms (like the one in the still for this video) generated by waveforms or are they drawn?

    no waveforms in this. those are sort of drawn, but pretty much random scribble originally in Illustrator. then it's mirrored and distorted three dimensionally to make it look like that.
