This piece is essentially a study of the composer Salvatore Sciarrino, whose hermetic, stylized sound world brings up all sorts of questions about instrumental practice. The work is based on his own constricted structural forms.
The piece is for Baritone Sax, utilizing multiphonics and using live electronics to bring out the spectral information. The performer on this recording is Richard Robershawe. This work was conceived for 5.1 however the audio for this video is in stereo.
