A story about growing up in the universe.

A music video for the band Rendezvous, made February-March 2011. They pretty much gave me carte blanche to do whatever I wanted to do, and this is what came out.

Wow! I had forgotten about that video since I saw it on 120 minutes back in 1998 or so. I can see some definite similarities, though the outlooks on history and our species couldn't be more different.

However, I will confess that this video was also directed by Todd McFarlane.

The only things in this video not created in After Effects were 3 or 4 texture overlays and some clouds I drew up in Photoshop. Everything else is 100% AE.

For some people, it would be. However, my workflow involves a ton of animating masks so it make sense to build things in AE, rather than using an separate program. I don't know if designing it AI would have conferred any real benefits, either.
