Are You excited about the ski/snowboard season coming up? I sure am. Helmet cameras are so cool, but pretty expensive. Want cool footage from your trip, without the cost? Worry no more. Thread the strap of a small digital camera (one that shoots video of course) around your goggles and shove it between your goggles and your helmet for a quick and dirty Helmet Cam. I nicknamed it the “Cam Jam.”

Actually, having tried (personally) I don't know how many different person-mounted camera techniques, there's really something good to this one. Simple, with a retention strap, and aimable... I like it!

Interesting idea, but I don't think it is very safe. If you crash onto your face, the camera is probably going to break something like your nose. The screen could also shatter and get into your eyes.

I have become addicted to using Mark Mothersbaugh's stuff.. It's pretty fantastic stuff. We have a 3 foot miniramp in the backyard.. Going to try this out this weekend. Love the greyscalegorilla. Keep it coming.

i didn't exactly do this, but i did create a diy helmet cam using tape and a point and shoot digital camera strapped to my bike helmet on a pole. worked really well, my latest 2 videos are shot using it on our local downhill course. i'd even go as far as to say it's better than some go-pro footage i've seen.
