Nikon D90 - Day One - Good, Bad & Ugly
Here's some footage from our first day with the D90 - straight out of the camera.
The purpose of this clip is to show the good, the bad and the downright ugly of the D90. This footage was taken right after leaving the camera store on our way back home, with a few stops on the way.
No exposure lock used. No colour correction.
I'm working on another clip that shows the D90 in a more controlled way.
My mini review is that the D90 is quite good for what it is but it's not going to replace a dedicated HD camera or your 35mm adapter.
Lens used - Nikon 18-200mm
Music: Coldplay "Strawberry Swing"

11 months ago woooahhh didn't realise it would be that nasty rolling/skew. I wana see some 5D shot the same way to see how that one reacts. Still in a controlled situation would look awesome. -

10 months ago The D90 is pretty cool for what it is. But, after playing with a 5D the other day I'm completely amazed. The 5D blows the doors off the D90 big time! -

10 months ago hehe No kidding ;) otherwise I'd be very upset if wasn't, considering it 3 times more expensive :P -

11 months ago I'm hoping to get a 5D II soon. If it weren't for the lack of controls and how terrible it works in motion, I totally would have bought a D90 and rocked my dad's old Nikkor prime lenses with it. But I'll stick to my Canon's -

10 months ago Yeah, the 5D blows the D90 away. I got to play with a 5D this week, shot a whole wedding with it actually. Absolutely amazing. -
No Limit Pictures 11 months agoLooks good man. Do they autofocus when filming. If that is the case - it will be a HUUUUUGE bonus. -

Tim Stewart 11 months agoHey Matt! looks great, Still camera's aren't usually designed for video footage. normally just cheap and nasty added feature for product sale... but in this case it is very good, i particularly like the colour quality! especially with the bub on the grass! have a great holiday, we'll catch up soon! -

10 months ago Hey Tim! Yeah, the world as we know it is about to change. I can't wait for the next version of these cameras.
