the story is about the little monitor 702b, which was born in korea 1995. in the same year he moved to germany and got a job in a computer-company in berlin.
He worked there for almost ten years before his boss decided to fire him because of a new lcd-screen.
Ever since that time he lives on the streets of berlin and he hangs around with two other guys.
Now he is bored!!!

made on nikon d60, 15 nights of shooting in berlin, we used long time exposure and stop motion technique, the credits are made with light graffiti

Liebenswürdig. Sehr gekonnt inszeniert. Grosser Aufwand spürbar.
    Worth of every second.

Way to tell a story using these techniques. I loved the LCD torture scene. Very visual and great feelings of loneliness and isolation. Poor 702b.

Amazing Work. But it is the attention to detail
and really taking the time to get the small moments right that puts this on a very high level.
    Enjoyed it, thanks.

    Great man.

I was in Berlin with my D60 too. I didn't have much time to animate but I did shoot some of my best pics to date there.
    See them on my flicker:
    flickr.com/photos/inofaith/page3/

...now I regret I hadn't time to animate or timelapse anything there.
I was on a field trip with my entire art school... could've been more productive.

How'd you create a time lapse sequence with a D60 when it doesn't have a built in shutter timer? I'd like to be able to do something similar and hadn't been able to figure out how to make it look smooth on a D60. Your thoughts would be great. Nice work on the video.
  • framerausch 10 months ago
you have to put a 50% speed on the vid...just use a good editing-software...you don´t need a shutter timer...

    Very great film. Nice work.

Did you use a cross-fade between frames? Was it consistent throughout?
  • framerausch 10 months ago
nope, i just put a 50% speed on the original material, to get a kind of slow-motion effect in this movie...its more smoother than before...

I can see a light crossing the sky at 02:50 minutes going from ground to sky. It cannot be a "falling star", what can it be ? Maybe an airplane coming from a surrounding airport ?

Very nice. I love CRT screen because of their quality pictures. Especially the SONY TRINITRON ; IIYAMA and MITSUBISHI tub.

I work only on CRT screen. LCD make not realy good picture when you compare!
