Trailer for The Notorious P-Y-G, a new comedy from the brilliant hive-mind screenwriting team that brought you 2010's 'rtown'.
During a year-long study of Shaw's 'Pygmalion', the 80 young writers (ages 11 to 20) of DC Creative Writing Workshop conceived, wrote and performed this clever American adaptation.
'The Notorious P-Y-G' breathes new life into the classic play by turning it on its head: to find her place in DC, Liza needs Higg to transform her from a Montgomery County Misfit into a Southside Shawtie.

Over the past 11 years, the Workshop has produced dozens of poetry anthologies through their magazine 'Hartworks' and 10 other adaptations of stage classics, including 2010's 'rtown,' which they re-set in their own town and, for the first time, made a film from. See 'rtown' here at vimeo, and find out more about the DC Creative Writing Workshop at DCCWW.org.
