Davey Dance-BLOG. A project started while traveling Europe during Spring 2007. Armed only with an ipod and a Canon PowerShot, Davey picks a location and a pop song. Then Davey records an improvised dance.

Family sitting around the dinner table: "Honey, you'll never believe what happened on the L this afternoon..."

They're still trying to figure out what the heck happened. Stellar performance by all!

  • christy gordon 9 months ago
Hmm, I'm not quite sure what to do about that. If you are trying to send it out to people, I suggest just sending the link.

Very interesting Project, but does Davey only own one pair of pants? As he wears the same one's in all of the videos that I have watched. Is he doing this for continuity of Character? Hope he washes them once in a while. Good job looking forward to future projects. How about the leader of the laundromat?
  • nshack 9 months ago
Hey if you can dance in a pair of pants, then you better stick with what works.
  • Pheasant Plucker 9 months ago
I pack light. But, I am 32x34 if you feel inclined to donate to the cause.

This was great. These are too good to just be armed with a Canon Powershot! I wanna see some high quality dancing videos.
  • Pheasant Plucker 9 months ago
Part of the rules i have given myself on this project are to only shoot one take, not to cut, and to shoot on this tiny camera. It also makes it easier to shoot many of the dances, which have, for the most part, been spur of the moment.
  •
  • george hilbish 9 months ago
what equipment? I see canon powershot. did you use it to do the video in vid mode on the camera? I am playing with a flip video and concerned over the image quality. your image quality is higher. get back to me. thx
  • Pheasant Plucker 9 months ago
    640x480 15fps on a powershot 600
    that's it.
  • Khamis Hammoudeh 9 months ago
Woot woot, the SD600 rocks. You should try 30 fps if you've got the card!! For more spinning action. :)

this was so great. i wish we could have seen the reactions from the other people on the train. that seemed like a long time between stops, huh?
