NEW YORK CHRISTMAS - HD

"Carol Of The Bells"---"slleB ehT fO loraC"
I wish I could rewind time to experience New York again...if I rewind the moments back to the beginning then that means they haven't started yet, and I can relive them again, right? haha. Shot with Canon HV30.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I was going to spell the title backwards, but I didn't think it would work. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas, too!!! erac ekat
I, too, wish I could rewind time and enjoy my experiences in the city- (especially now that I have my HV30!! lol). I love New York. Great job. :]
Next year should be in Chicago.
That'd be great too.
Great work
Perfect cuts!!
Just got a Jag35 DOF adapter 4 mine and flipping out.
Heres how to fix that:
eugenia.gnomefiles.org/2007/07/13/canon-hv20-24p-pulldown/
Its quite time consuming, but the result is proper 24p video that looks great.
Hope that helps.
Great video as always. Love your work!
keep up the good work and move to LA and become a shooter.
Merry back at u.
Merci et joyeux Noel.
Beautiful video! I've been a video producer for over twenty years and I teach production at a couple of community colleges here in Seattle, so I really admire good work when I see it.
When I first read that you shot this with an HV-30, I assumed that must be some expensive high-end camera. When I looked it up, I was shocked to realize that I spent ten times as much for my camera (the XH-A1), but none of my stuff looks this good.
My HD looks especially crappy on Vimeo. Even though I follow all their instructions for compression and uploading, my video is always really jerky on Vimeo.
Also, my colors are never as rich as what you have achieved, even though I use custom "film look" settings including Steve Dempsey's "Panalook."
Since you are here in Seattle also, would you let me buy you lunch some time and pick your brain a little? Aside from being very creative and talented, I get the impression that you may have some specialized technical knowledge.
I'm developing a Web video production company with a friend of mine, and we may be looking for freelance shooters in the future, so who knows? Anyway, I'd love the opportunity to talk to you. You can reach me at: vaun@u.washington.edu. Also, check out my latest website at: lakeunionhistory.org.
Merry Christmas,

Thanks for the shot of the GW Bridge..... miss my barrio :)
Very inspiring. Looking forward to more.
Can you please tell me the software you used to color correct?
Thanks!
And Please btw, Who is this rendition of Carol of the bells by - it is Totally and Majestically MAGNIFICENT!
Sooo epic with that music.
Just shows what a talented person can do with a consumer camera, that some folks couldn't match with pro gear.
I really like some of the areal shots you made so I was wondering how did you get access to some of the tops of the buildings?...beside Empire State Building I also visited.
Thanks
