Pikes Peak Hill Climb 2011 - Time Attack 2WD
7 months ago
WildHare Racing takes on the Pikes Peak Hill Climb, June 26th, 2011.
As this was our first attempt up the mountain, we attacked with goal of completing the event.
The shifter slipped out of position at the 2 mile mark during a hasty shift, so I made more deliberate shift attempts after that. Unfortunately while descending from Devils Playground into the Bottomless Pit at 95 mph a brisk shift effort from 5th to 4th - misslocated into 2nd and the results were race ending.
Still, a great effort by our team, and support crew.
Special thanks to:
Kirk Steckle
Brooks Freehill at 4040 Racing
Jason at Bahnbrenner Motorsports

Steve at CVJ Axles
