I took a walk around Randell Research Center on Pine Island, Florida (near Cape Coral and Ft. Myers), and shot some video of the beautiful Gumbo Limbo trees and of the Calusa Indian Middens (shell refuse mounds). It was a very windy day which caused my to cancel my trip to Cayo Costa Island State Park. So I spent some time at Randell. This is a great place to have a nice walk, learn about the Calusa Indians, watch Ospreys and Hawks, and just relax.
