A special thanks to the girls from Pearl London and Pure Storm.
If you like this film please take a look at our website: photography-factory.co.uk

We had the use of Sophia for a few moments... so we thought we would give a quick test to our equipment.

In this test we were using a Vision Research Phantom HD slow motion camera shooting to a 120 gig ram stack at 1000frames per second, the lens was a 35mm Carl Zeiss Planar T* wide open. Please forgive the slight loss of focus at 1.35 the depth of field was less than 5cm, sophia (skipping in 15cm high heels) seems to have missed her mark very slightly and at the same time our focus puller seems to have been briefly distracted somehow?

If you are inspired by this or any or our videos and would like to get some slow motion photography - please get in contact we are a lot of fun to work with. At photography-factory are are very experienced in slow motion, quite reasonable, and make our livings from creative photography. Plus we need money to pay for more tests...

Kill the MUA that made that eyebrows.
  • You are dead right, but as this was just an equipment test we kept Sophia in her own warpaint. The makeup artist we booked was worn out from a lomg day and asked for a break so she could have some pizza and vodka (she is from Russia). Please don't hurt her, she is normally not lazy and very good (Vogue, Harpers, Playboy etc) she was totally convinced no one was going to be able to notice the crazy makeup with the large distractions close at hand...

In future... No Pizza, No Vodka, good makeup...

Heh, my ex-wife is a MUA too, so that's kinda my field too :) Apparently, I'm Russian too.
  • That is cool! Please send us the link to her/your sites. We are working all over the place this year, it is great to know good creatives from far-far away. The planet is shrinking, and we are getting interesting work requests from Russia often : )

Uhm whats the experiment?? Her stamina? Wheteher or not the Bikini top would hold her breasts under such a vigorous workout? How many men in the audience would be able to stand after watching the full length feature song? How many people don't know the song? (That amazes me, when were they born? yesterday?) If she could continue to smile throughout the shoot? ( she managed by the way!) anyway, whatever it was, she has a nice tan... :)
  • Thanks you for your interesting and intelligent questions Anthony, we were actually just testing the slow motion equipment. She is a happy bunny it has to be said, she smiled though the whole day, and only really lost he composure in a different test when a water ballon (lobed by her best friend who had come to the studio early to join us all for a drink in the pub afterwards) hit her in the side of the face and did not pop. I am fairly sure the tan was fake as it was almost perfectly uniform, and in places where it is quite hard to get sunlight to shine.
