Katja's video sculptures are ironic invitations to engage a fantastic version of what is real — and of what can potentially be. Her works proposes the possibility of a planetary identity, and a vision of our global selves that incorporates both the infinite largeness of the universe as well as the infinite smallness as interrelated entities.
Katja's latest VideoPlanet, a floating video sculpture, will be on display at Landscapes-Worlds Real from August 8-28, 2011 as part of INDEX Festival 2011. This exhibition showcases artists who design spaces between the worlds of virtuality, reality and the imagination.
