Seems like Israel is celebrating a lot of centennial events these past couple of years. This time the occasion is the birth of the Kibbutz, 100 years ago.
The same talented people who created the 'Tel-Aviv-Jaffa' documentary, took the mission of dealing with another mammoth project, and created, yet again, a well crafted production. I had the pleasure of working with them again on another title sequence.
This one depicts a brief history of the Kibbutz. From the first wave of socialist idealistic new-comers who started it all, through its rapid development into a shaping force of early Israeli culture, down to its idealistic and economic demise which turned it into yet another capitalist endeavor.
Of unmeasurable assistance was the brilliant Dafna Englander, who starts her animation studies at Bezalel next year.
